Writing & Current Research
Nancy E. Harris spent many years teaching college English composition, was an editor for her husband's computer books published by Prentice-Hall, a newsletter editor for the Women's Environmental Coalition, the Denver Area Music Teachers Association and Aurora Councilwoman Linda Capra, as well as a reporter for WUSF-FM and the Art Institute of Colorado. She has been published in a poetry book and a cookbook, in addition to multiple articles in the Colorado State Music Teachers Association's Notes and News. She has recently begun to collect all of her experiences in teaching voice into articles, and ultimately, into a book on her techniques.
Nancy's current research is into the reasons why some people feel they cannot sing, even though they can speak quite melodiously and normally. She has discovered that they can be taught to carry a tune... Why Can't I Carry a Tune? More...
