Some of the most beautiful flowers and gardens are reaching their peaks during the month of August. Above is the Buschart Gardens in Canada, the result of one woman's vision. She took her husband's played-out quarry near her home and covered the walls with vines while filling the floor with garden "rooms" with different types of plantings, trees, bushes, and ponds. It was barren, bleak rock to start with, but look what the result of her dedication has become!
Our own souls can feel barren at times...why are we here, for what purpose? Is anything worth the effort? But, if we can remember the joy and beauty that can come to others from one person's vision, perhaps we can leave the world a little better than we found it.
I shall, at least, try to do so.
