Fall is here!

Hard to believe that September is over, already! Things are nicely settled in my activities and teaching (two new students who are very welcome), and my health is good for the moment! (The older one gets, the less certain one can sound about this!)

I have begun to hum as I do my chores, a good sign and something that was missing for the last three years, as I was emotionally numb following my husband's passing. In two weeks, I will be going up to the mountains with family to visit the site of Mel's ashes and to have a picnic with them.

In other areas, I am doing more art, sending my grandson a hand-drawn postcard each week with the description in French on the back, and I've also made five new pairs of pants in my Garments & More sewing group (part of the Fort Collins American Sewing Guild chapter of which I'm also the treaurer). My new stand-up garden beds are doing very well, and little by little, we are removing the old low wooden boxes with the depleted soil.

Our recital is December 7, and all are working well toward that deadline. Can't ask for much more!

Hoping you are happy and content in your life, as well!

Cheers, Nance
